The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Lisbon, the U.S. Consulate  in Ponta Delgada, Azores, and the U.S. Consular Agency in Funchal provide consular services to American tourists that visit Portugal and to U.S. citizens who are residing in Portuguese territory.

Fees can only be paid with cash (Euros or US Dollars) or credit card. Multibanco and private checks are not acceptable. 

New Appointment System

American citizens and other clients may make an appointment to apply for or renew passports, obtain Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, apply for extra visa pages in U.S. passports, obtain notarial services, or to seek general advice.
