Doris Friedensohn Keynote Speaker at APEAA Annual Conference

Feb. 19-21 - PA Lisbon supported the February 19-21 participation of New Jersey City University keynote speaker Prof. Doris Friedensohn in the 30th annual meeting of the Portuguese Association of English and American Studies (APEAA) in Porto. Her plenary session presentation, "Call Him Ishamel: Conversations at the Crossroads on Being, Survival and Self-Expression" was one of the highlights of the conference.

Speaking to an audience of leading Portuguese academics from throughout the country specializing in American literature and American Studies and graduate students, Prof. Friedenshon exemplified the integrated American Studies approach the Mission has promoted over the years.
