Embassy Supports International Conference on Society and Education

Jan. 23 - The Embassy sponsored Professor Steven G. Brint, University of California, Riverside, a key-note speaker at the ISCTE Conference on Society and Education.

Professor Brint is an expert in comparative education, higher education, professions and the middle class and coordinator of the Education Section of the American Sociological Association. He spoke on ‘Education Sociology in the US: recent tendencies and associations’ to an audience, of over 100 people, made up of experts, local authorities, officials from the Ministry of Educations, school director and the general public.
