The AERC maintains access to the following on-line resources to respond to a significant number of daily requests:

Associations Unlimited

Contains information for approximately 460,000 international and U.S. national, regional, state, and local nonprofit membership organizations in all fields, including IRS data on U.S. 501(c) nonprofit organizations.

Biography Resource Center + The Complete Marquis Who’s Who

This database combines award-winning biographies from respected Gale Group sources. Biography Resource Center also includes full-text articles from hundreds of periodicals. With the Complete Marquis Who's Who(R), find quick reference information on an additional 900,000 people.

Books in Print

Books in Print provides bibliographic, publisher information for books currently in print and books soon to be published. Book reviews are also available for many titles.

Congressional Directory

The Congressional Directory is the official directory of the U.S. Congress, prepared by the Joint Committee on Printing (JCP). It presents:

  • Short biographies of each member of the Senate and House, listed by state or district.
  • Committee memberships, terms of service, administrative assistants and/or secretaries, and room and telephone numbers for Members of Congress.
  • Lists officials of the courts, military establishments, and other Federal departments and agencies, including D.C. government officials, governors of states and territories, foreign diplomats, and members of the press, radio, and television galleries.

CQ Researcher Online

Facts on File

Contains the entire back file of this weekly publication of record, with domestic and world news coverage from 1940 to the present. Federal News Service

Federal News Service provides transcripts to testimony, briefings, press conference and congressional hearings with questions and answers.

FirstSearch(OCLC)

First Search provides access to more than 65 databases and gives users an easy-to-use interface. This powerful tool increases the availability of reference information by providing seamless access to bibliographic, abstract, and full-text information with photographs and other images.

Gale Virtual Reference Library

Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research.

Leadership Directories

Leadership Directories - the Leadership Library on the Internet - is a comprehensive database of who's who in the leadership of the United States.

Lexis-Nexis

A full text database of current and historic federal legislation, bill tracking, bill texts, state legislation, case law, law reviews and full text news sources and periodicals including The New York Times, Washington Post and AP wires.

Proquest Research Library

Provides immediate access to an extensive collection of newspapers, journals, periodicals, magazines, and other information sources.

STAT-USA

The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economics and Statistics Administration support this online information resource. It contains crucial and timely business and economic information produced by Federal agencies.

Treaties and International Agreements (OCEANA)

Oceana Publication’s TIARA database is a database of over 10,000 U.S. treaties and international agreements from 1783 to the present.

Ulrichs Periodical Library

Is authoritative source of bibliographic and Publisher information on more than 300,000 periodicals of all types.
